We produced a live stream on behalf of marketing agency Jaywing for their client Gala Bingo, who wanted to raise money for Thornberry Animal Sanctuary. The live stream had two key details: it was festive-themed, and starred lots of dogs! We couldn’t wait to dive into this fun-filled project.
Jaywing needed to pull off a live stream for their client that would raise the necessary funds to help Thornberry Animal Sanctuary. To do this, it needed to entice a wide audience to both watch and take part – so, this required high-quality camerawork, motion graphics and smooth transitions from one part to the next. Jaywing knew Stada Media had the skills and experience to produce a live stream on this scale, so called on us to help.
The charity live stream was going to feature multiple dogs, and even ponies! So, we evidently needed to prepare to control the animals, as well as film them, for the live stream to run smoothly. Animals can be unpredictable, so we didn’t know for sure what would happen until we went live.
Another aspect of this was the games the dogs would be taking part in. Games have to work in the moment on a live stream – there’s no retakes. This added some extra pressure – which of course our team channelled into rocket fuel to produce a brilliant live stream!
We ensured the live stream was planned thoroughly, preparing for any and all outcomes. We also got our kit set up and ready to go well in advance of going live – using one live streaming workstation, a vision mixer and 4 HD cameras. We love the thrill of live broadcasting – it’s like no other – so we simply went into it knowing we were going to have fun.
We also provided the client with an animated intro and outro sequence and a 3-second motion graphics transitional bumper. This amped up the production value and strengthened Gala Bingo’s messaging.
With over 13,000 people tuning in, our live stream for Jaywing and Gala Bingo was a triumph. Our capturing of the dogs having festive fun raked in £6,500 for Thornberry Animal Sanctuary.
