Stada Media has expanded again – meaning the business has grown its headcount by 56% since October! This time, we’re welcoming Josh Raikes to the team as our new videographer.
Josh’s arrival bolsters a busy production team to cope with new and fast-growing demand for our professional video services.
Josh has a BA in Cinematography and Video Production from Leeds Beckett University. Since leaving university, he has worked in videographer roles at Jet2 and The Skills Network. Josh describes himself as adventurous, charming and a camera geek – obviously!
Furthermore, at the start of May, we’ll be introducing a Senior Account Manager to the team! Watch this space…
Our biggest year on record!
Our increase in staff directly results from the company’s biggest year on record, 2020.
Last year, we worked with more clients than at any point in Stada Media’s 12-year history. Our portfolio as a corporate video company expanded faster than we’ve ever experienced! So, it’s no surprise that we’ve hunted down another videographer.
Giving back to the local economy
Our CEO and founder Danny Lacey cites two lockdowns during 2020 as, ironically, positively impacting the business. He now plans to capitalise on the opportunities they brought by giving something back to the local economy.
Last month, the National Institute of Economic and Social Research announced a downward revision of UK economic growth forecast in 2021 from 5.9% to 3.4%.
“Many businesses realised video was the next best thing”
Danny says: “When the country was suddenly told to stay at home, businesses quickly realised that they had to go online to survive.
“Shops, events, communications – it all went virtual. I think many businesses realised that, without face-to-face contact with customers, video was the next best thing.”
Huge demand for video production and live streaming meant that Stada Media’s team expanded by 5. Our new videographer Josh is the latest exciting addition to this growing team.
“I want to use our position for good”
“We were very lucky,” says Danny. “We entered lockdown with a huge amount of uncertainty about the business. Now, I want to use our position to help other businesses, locally and nationally.”
Stada Media hopes to support regeneration and growth locally. This could be individual businesses, or with councils.
“I want to say to local businesses, come to us if you want help with building your business,” says Danny. “I am here to give free advice on promoting your business, increasing sales or taking your business online for the first time. Even if it’s just to ask a simple question about video or marketing, I’ll be more than happy to help.
“As a video marketing agency our skills and expertise lie in helping businesses promote themselves further – so we’re here if any local business needs us.”
