Blinds Direct needed an effective and time-saving way to help their customers use their wide range of products. Watching a video of a product being used can make a huge difference in understanding how it works – so we knew how important this project was for boosting Blinds Direct’s sales.
Blinds Direct had a huge amount of different products they needed to demonstrate being used – over 80! For such a big task, they needed outside help. The videos needed to achieve multiple things: promote Blinds Direct’s products, build customers’ trust and confidence in the brand, and champion safe use of their products. These important goals meant that the videos had to boast a high quality – and the Stada Media team were up for the challenge.
The main challenge of this project lay in the timescale we had versus the breadth of videos we had to produce. We had just over a week to film 84 videos – so, before anything else, we put our heads together and planned how to achieve this goal as a team.
Another obstacle in our way was difficulty in finding the right locations, set design and performer for the videos. However, our years of experience in finding video locations, and connections with many talented performers, meant we were soon able to pull this all together.
To achieve our goal, we filmed the majority of the videos back-to-back across 5 days on a purpose-built set. This meant that we didn’t lose momentum and returned to set every day with more knowledge and experience under our belts. For the rest of the videos, we successfully sourced locations and set design to fit seamlessly with the existing work.
We also knew the videos had to be 100% accurate and trustworthy – so, we spoke regularly to experts on the products to inform the scripts and production.
In the first 6 months of going live, the videos gained 212k views, leading to hundreds of thousands of Blinds Direct customers being more confident in buying and using their products. Oh, and the videos also doubled Blinds Direct’s conversion rate!
